EU Representative for Marine HR Department (Cruise and Offshore Business)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the HR operations for the Cruise and Offshore business in the EU region.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and maritime regulations.
- Liaise with senior leadership to drive recruitment, retention, and career development programs for cruise and offshore personnel.
- Recruitment & Sourcing:
- Oversee recruitment and sourcing strategies for seafarers, focusing on building and maintaining a talent pool for the Cruise and Offshore sectors.
- Collaborate with recruitment teams globally to meet talent demands and workforce planning needs.
- Crew Management:
- Manage the crew rotation, compliance with STCW and other regulatory requirements, and employee welfare programs.
- Establish and enhance crew performance management, development, and training programs.
- Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure adherence to international and EU maritime labour laws, conventions, and Anglo-Eastern’s internal policies.
- Keep abreast of changes in marine industry regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including owners, maritime authorities, and crew members.
- Represent Anglo-Eastern at industry forums and foster relationships with partners and service providers in the EU.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure smooth operational processes for HR functions, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and workforce satisfaction in cruise and offshore operations.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master Mariner or Chief Engineer (Class 1 COC) certification is required.
- Additional qualifications in Maritime Studies, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Senior position role experience in the Cruise industry, with hands-on leadership experience.
- Strong background in Recruitment and Sourcing within the maritime sector, particularly focusing on crew management for Cruise and Offshore businesses.
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex Marine HR function for international marine operations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving HR initiatives in a marine environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies for talent acquisition, crew management, and operational excellence.
- Recruitment Expertise: Deep understanding of sourcing strategies and recruitment processes in the maritime industry, particularly for high-demand cruise and offshore sectors.
- Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in international maritime labour laws, particularly MLC, STCW, GDPR and EU maritime regulations.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Proficient in addressing and resolving Marine HR challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced marine environment.
